Eric Harris, a 22-year-old African-American male, died on February 8, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Harris was shot multiple times by Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies Kenneth Bonura and Henry DeJean after a high-speed chase that began at the Oakwood Mall and ended in Central City, New Orleans. The incident occurred after Harris allegedly pointed a gun at people at the mall, prompting the deputies to pursue him.
