In the summer of 2022, a young man's life was tragically cut short in New Orleans. Conrad Noble, a 24-year-old male, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound on July 15. The incident, which occurred at the edge of the Leonidas and Hollygrove neighborhoods, was quickly reclassified as a homicide by the New Orleans Police Department. Noble was pronounced deceased at the scene, leaving behind a grieving family and community.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later confirmed on July 18
that the cause of death was indeed a gunshot wound. Following this determination, the NOPD Homicide Unit diligently pursued their investigation to bring those responsible to justice. Their efforts led to the positive identification of two individuals as the perpetrators of this violent act.
Through their investigative work, detectives were able to secure arrest warrants for a juvenile male and another suspect, identified as Matthews. Both were charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with Conrad Noble's death. The suspects were subsequently arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center. In addition to the murder charge, both individuals were also charged with one count each of armed robbery related to a separate incident.
