In the quiet neighborhood of Gentilly in New Orleans, the morning of May 12, 2015, was shattered by the discovery of a young man's body. Harold Martin, a 30-year-old male, was found lifeless on a porch, having been shot in the head. The initial call to the New Orleans Police Department reported a man down, and upon arrival, officers confirmed the grim reality of a homicide. The Orleans Parish Coroner's office later identified the victim as Martin, a lifelong resident of the city.
