Jyren Thomas, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 8, 2018, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The New Orleans Police Department responded to a call of shots fired in the 6300 block of Woodland Hwy. Upon arrival, officers found Jyren Thomas lying down in the driveway of an apartment complex next to a fence, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
