Ja'Shad Romel Simmons, an 18-year-old African American male, passed away on June 26, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was survived by his mother, Michelle Simmons, and stepfather, Sental Sutherland, along with his grandparents, Theresa Simmons and Jerry Joseph, and siblings, Jerchelle, Jamenica, Raychelle Ra'Shad, and Sentel Jr. Ja'Shad was also remembered by a host of other relatives and friends, including his close friend Lauryn Williams.
