Jada Page, an 8-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on August 28, 2016, in Miami, Florida. Jada was caught in the crossfire of a drive-by shooting while playing outside her grandmother's home in northwest Miami-Dade. The intended target of the shooting was her father, James, who was also injured in the incident. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Jada succumbed to her injuries two days later.
