David Francis Michel Jr., a 50-year-old male deputy sheriff from Harvey, Louisiana, was tragically killed on June 22, 2016. Michel, who served with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, was conducting a pedestrian stop at the intersection of Manhattan Boulevard and Ascot Road in Harvey when the incident occurred.
