Rodney Joseph Savoy Jr., a 34-year-old African American male, tragically passed away on August 9, 2016, in Lafayette, Louisiana. His death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred in a mobile home community. On the night of August 9, 2016, deputies were called to the scene by a woman who was hiding in her closet. Multiple shots were heard during her phone call with dispatchers. Upon arrival, authorities found Rodney Joseph Savoy Jr. dead in the master bedroom.
