Jamirus Lavontre Freeman, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 21, 2017, in Lafayette, Louisiana. His death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred in the 1000 block of Magnolia Street. The young man was found shot to death, and the incident also involved another victim, a 17-year-old, who was shot but survived.
