In the autumn of 2016, the life of Bobby Romero Basquine III, a 22-year-old male, was violently cut short on a Tuesday night in New Orleans. The incident unfolded on October 4th, just before 9:30 p.m., in the 3700 block of Ulloa Street, a normally quiet residential area. Basquine was caught in a hail of gunfire that erupted between two groups of people who had gathered outside. When the shooting ceased, five people had been struck by bullets, and the street was littered with spent casings.
