In the early hours of Sunday, October 23, 2016, a fatal encounter unfolded outside a Baton Rouge nightclub, claiming the life of 30-year-old Black / African American male Christopher Edwards. The shooting, which occurred around 1:45 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Foster Drive, was the culmination of an argument that began inside The Executive Club. Edwards suffered gunshot wounds to his torso and died at the scene. A 35-year-old woman was also struck by gunfire during the incident but was trans ...
