Marquell Gardner, a 36-year-old African American male, was found dead on November 6, 2016, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His body was discovered in overgrown grass, and the circumstances surrounding his death were immediately deemed suspicious. Gardner's family had reported him missing after not hearing from him since Halloween. The investigation into his death revealed that he had been last seen with an individual in LaPlace, Louisiana, before his body was found in Baton Rouge.
