On the evening of April 5, 2017, 22-year-old Andrew Allen-Lake, a male, was fatally shot in Highland Park, a city within the Detroit metropolitan area. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 7 Mile Road.
Earlier in the evening, an individual had picked up Allen-Lake and driven to the Pharty Hard Barbershop located at 1425 E. 7 Mile Road. The driver parked the vehicle near Hanna Street and went inside the barbershop, leaving Allen-Lake alone in the car.
