Glenn Doss Jr., a 25-year-old Detroit police officer, tragically died on January 28, 2018, after being shot in the head while responding to a domestic violence call on January 24, 2018. Doss was critically injured when he arrived at the scene on McDougall Street near East Kirby. As he was exiting his patrol car, a man with a long gun fired at him, striking him in the head. Despite being rushed to Detroit Receiving Hospital, Doss succumbed to his injuries after several days in critical condition.
