Death by Force

On September 20, 2012, Walter Forbes, a 41-year-old Detroit resident, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on the east side of Detroit. The incident occurred at around 3 a.m. on Manistee, between Korte and Avondale streets, near Jefferson Avenue. Forbes was leaving a friend’s house and was walking towards his 2009 Chevrolet van when he was ambushed and shot. The attack was sudden and appeared to be premeditated, leaving Forbes fatally injured at the scene.
