On a cold January night in Detroit, the life of a promising young man was tragically cut short. Terrence Hill Jr., a 24-year-old Black male and a Petty Officer Second Class in the U.S. Navy, was home on leave on January 4, 2013. Having served his country for six years, including two tours in Afghanistan, Hill was enjoying a date on the city's west side.
