In the spring of 2013, the Detroit community, and particularly the students and faculty of Cody High School, were rocked by the sudden and violent death of a beloved figure. Charles Knott, a 54-year-old male who had dedicated two decades to coaching the girls' basketball team, was fatally shot on the night of April 30th.
