On December 4, 2010, Charles Edward Wingle, aged 21, was the victim of a fatal shooting in Detroit, Michigan. At approximately 3:45 a.m., police were called to 3456 Lockwood, where they found Wingle lying on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Henry Ford Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The incident took place in a neighborhood that has seen its share of violence, contributing to the overall climate of crime in Detroit.
