In the pre-dawn hours of a New Orleans morning, violence shattered the relative quiet of Canal Street, leaving one man dead and another wounded. On February 19, 2017, at approximately 3:37 a.m., police were dispatched to a parking lot in the 1500 block of the major thoroughfare. There, they discovered two men who had been shot. One of the victims, a 37-year-old male identified as Kentri Harper, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The second man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatm ...
