Damian Crockem Jr., a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 13, 2017, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the 9300 block of Chef Menteur Highway, where officers from the Seventh District responded to an aggravated battery by shooting at around 12:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Damian Crockem Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds outside of a parking lot. Despite the efforts of emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
