Ricky Freeman, a 46-year-old African American man from Opelousas, Louisiana, was tragically shot and killed on April 8, 2018. The incident occurred near his home at the intersection of Common Street and Railroad Avenue. Freeman was found lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
