In the early morning hours of September 14, 2011, a man was gunned down in New Orleans as he arrived for his job at a scrap yard on Poland Avenue. The victim was identified as Michael Marshall. His death, however, was not a random act of violence but a calculated assassination. Unbeknownst to many, Marshall was a federal witness who had been cooperating with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, a decision that ultimately sealed his fate.
