On November 22, 2023, 48-year-old Toby McCullum was fatally shot in New Orleans' Mid-City neighborhood. The incident occurred around 9:50 a.m. in the 300 block of South Norman C. Francis Parkway, where police found McCullum unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
