In the late summer of 2007 in New Orleans, a tragic event unfolded that left a community in fear and a family shattered. On the morning of August 11th, the bodies of 38-year-old Luong Nguyen and a 35-year-old woman, Anjelique Vu, were discovered inside their home on Savoie Court in the New Orleans East neighborhood. Both had been shot to death in what authorities described as a violent home invasion and robbery.
