In the summer of 2018, a Baton Rouge man, 32-year-old Kelvin Brown Jr., lost his life in a fatal shooting. The incident unfolded on the evening of June 7th in the 5000 block of Winbourne Avenue. Authorities arriving at the scene discovered Brown next to the roadway, having sustained fatal gunshot injuries.

Investigations into the shooting revealed that Brown had been sitting in his vehicle when another car arrived, carrying 19-year-old Tykelian Lafleur. Surveillance footage from a nearby ...
