In the summer of 2018, the life of 36-year-old Latoya Wheeler was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. On the evening of August 1st, just before 8:00 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Alston Street in the Allendale neighborhood following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Wheeler inside a residence, suffering from at least one gunshot wound to her abdomen.
