May Francois, a 34-year-old man from New Orleans, LA, died on August 14, 2018. Francois, who was a father of five, was involved in a drug deal that went wrong. During the transaction, Lance Cpl. Quan T. Charles, a 19-year-old Marine reservist, shot Francois multiple times. Charles claimed that he acted in self-defense when Francois attacked him.
