On a late summer night in Detroit, the life of 37-year-old Sunshine Midkiff was brought to a tragic and violent end. On September 7, 2017, the mother of three from West Virginia was discovered in the driver's seat of her red Toyota Camry on the city's west side. The car was still running, having come to a stop against a fence at the intersection of Cloverdale and Intervale. A single gunshot wound to her neck was the cause of her death.
