Six-year-old Jahiem Holliday, a male first-grader, was fatally shot in the head in the backyard of a home on Madison Avenue. The incident occurred while a group of children were playing together, just a few doors down from Jahiem's own house.

Authorities reported that the children were playing outside near a group of adults who were discussing making a music video. A 13-year-old boy, later identified as Jesavrie Bell, allegedly went into his home and returned with a handgun that was believed to belong to his uncle. Following the shooting, Jesavrie Bell was arrested. In court, he appeared in an orange prison jumpsuit, accompanied by his grandmother and a court-appointed attorney.
