Amber claimed that Javontae was the mastermind behind the gruesome plot to murder her mother for life insurance money. According to Amber's testimony, on the night of the murder, Javontae went to Tiffany's home and struck her in the head with a hammer before stabbing her up to 70 times. In the process, he cut himself, leaving his DNA at the scene. Following Amber's cooperation, Javontae Wakefield also accepted a plea deal for second-degree murder in April 2022.
