Cathy S. Burgan, a three-year-old girl from Detroit, Michigan, tragically died on December 3, 1964. The circumstances surrounding her death were part of a horrific incident involving her family. On that day, James D. Burgan, a 28-year-old factory worker, fatally shot his wife, Joyce Marie Burgan, their four children, and a family friend before taking his own life.
