In the quiet evening hours of February 23, 2019, 68-year-old Charles Jackson was enjoying a peaceful moment on the front porch of his home on North 36th Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This tranquility was shattered at approximately 6:48 p.m. when the sound of a gunshot echoed through the neighborhood.
