In the midst of a violent Memorial Day weekend in New Orleans, 35-year-old Roy Antione Cain, a male, lost his life in a burst of gunfire. The incident unfolded on the evening of Sunday, May 26, 2019, at the intersection of North Tonti and Saint Anthony streets. Police responded to reports of a shooting around 10:30 p.m. and discovered Cain at the scene, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the location.
