In the quiet community of Houma, Louisiana, a tragedy unfolded on December 5, 2020, forever altering the lives of a local family. Troy Taylor Jr., a 28-year-old male, was found with a fatal gunshot wound inside a residence at the Rienzi Terrace Apartments. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a call concerning the shooting at approximately 10:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Taylor's body, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
