On the evening of February 27, 2007, a burst of violence on a Dorchester street cut short the life of Jova Guidroz, a 27-year-old African-American man. At approximately 9:08 p.m., Boston police officers from District 3 received a radio call reporting a person shot at 63 Armandine Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Guidroz suffering from what appeared to be a fatal gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Technicians pronounced him deceased at the scene.
