In the quiet evening of March 7, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the calm on Essen Lane in Baton Rouge. When police arrived around 7:20 p.m., they discovered 17-year-old Joseph Coleman in the driver's seat of a Honda Accord, suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, the young man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Another male, aged 20, was in the passenger seat but was unharmed in the incident.
