In the spring of 2021, on Easter Sunday, the life of 30-year-old Jalecia Latoria Deray Jennings was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. A mother of nine children, Jennings was fatally shot on April 4th in what has been described as an altercation. The incident that led to her death unfolded in a bustling parking lot on Hearn Avenue, forever altering the lives of her family and community.
