On a tragic spring evening in a quiet Harahan neighborhood, the life of 62-year-old Lisa Drezinski Arseneaux came to a violent end. It was Sunday, April 25, 2021, when a domestic disturbance at her home on Haroleans Street escalated into a fatal encounter, forever altering the lives of those involved.
That evening, witnesses reported a harrowing scene unfolding as Lisa's husband, 63-year-old David Arseneaux, was seen holding a. 40 caliber handgun and struggling with his wife.
Lisa appeared to be trying to flee from him, but he physically restrained her, pulling her back towards their house. The situation grew more perilous as David repeatedly pointed the weapon at her, holding her hostage.
When officers from the Harahan Police Department arrived at the scene, they were confronted with a tense and dangerous standoff.
