Todriana Mawnsey Peters, a 12-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on May 30, 2021, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Todriana was attending a graduation party in the Lower 9th Ward when she was caught in a barrage of gunfire. The shooting occurred as a result of a retaliatory attack following an earlier altercation involving the shooters.
