Derrah Nelson, a 24-year-old woman from New Orleans, LA, tragically lost her life on August 14, 2022, due to gun violence. The incident occurred at the intersection of Canal Street and North Derbigny, where she was found dead at the scene. A man was also injured in the shooting and was found a short distance away at the intersection of Tulane Avenue and North Claiborne. A dog was reportedly injured in the incident as well.
