In the late summer of 2021, the community of Marrero, Louisiana, was rocked by the violent death of a young man. On the evening of August 14th, shots rang out in the 2000 block of Mather Drive, a residential street. When the chaos subsided, 19-year-old Kevin Jones was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was a male resident of nearby Harvey. Despite efforts to save him, Jones succumbed to his injuries, leaving a family and community to grapple with the sudden and tragic loss.
