On a late Friday afternoon in New Iberia, Louisiana, the life of 28-year-old Kendrick T. Lewis was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The shooting unfolded on September 3, 2021, outside the Sneaker House, a shoe store located in a shopping center on South Lewis Street. The incident, which also left three other individuals wounded, sent shockwaves through the local community and prompted an extensive investigation by the New Iberia Police Department.
