On July 7, 2017, 14-year-old Maria Yaneth Vasquez disappeared from Frederick, Maryland. She was last seen at her home in the 1200 block of Danielle Drive at approximately 2:00 p.m. following a disagreement with her mother. Authorities initially believed that Maria had left of her own accord and might have been staying with friends in the local area.
