Marcus Alexis, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 30, 2021, in Jeanerette, Louisiana. He was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the middle of the road at the corner of Kern and Peach Streets. The Jeanerette Police Department responded to the scene and confirmed his death upon arrival. The community was left in shock and mourning, as Marcus was known to be a good person who brought joy to many lives.
