In the early afternoon of January 16, 2022, the life of 23-year-old Justin Ganier was tragically cut short in a burst of violence on Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans. Ganier, a male, was in the 6000 block of the busy thoroughfare when a fatal shooting erupted. The New Orleans Police Department received the first reports of the incident at 12:32 p.m. and immediately dispatched detectives to what would become a homicide investigation.
