Gil Woods Jr., a 41-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 28, 2022, in Alexandria, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on a Saturday night when officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired in the 2900 block of Houston Street. Upon arrival, they found Woods with multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
