Deonte Veal, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 5, 2022, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Deonte was born on September 5, 1997, to Erika Veal and Reginald Jackson. He graduated from Belaire High School in May 2017 and was cherished by his family and friends. On the fateful day of June 5, 2022, Deonte was shot and killed around 4:17 p.m. in the 1300 block of Winnebago Street. The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the scene and confirmed his death.
