In the late morning of a summer day in LaPlace, Louisiana, a discovery was made that would forever alter the lives of many. On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, deputies were called to the 1500 block of Natchez Lane in the Belle Pointe subdivision around 10:30 a.m. There, they found 41-year-old Trevor Sanders, an African American male, lying unresponsive on the ground. It was soon determined that he had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, and tragically, was pronounced dead at the scene by the coron ...
