Steve Finckbeiner, a 63-year-old white male, was tragically killed on February 25, 2014, during an armed robbery at LaPlace Feed & Supply in LaPlace, Louisiana. The incident also left his wife, Constance Finckbeiner, with a gunshot wound to her face. The couple was attacked by Charles McQuarter III, who was later convicted of second-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm.
