Daniel George, a 22-year-old man from Metairie, Louisiana, was tragically shot and killed on November 29, 2022. The incident occurred in the backyard of his family's home on Academy Drive, where he was with his two-year-old son when gunfire erupted. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the report of gunfire around 7:30 p.m. and found Daniel George on the ground, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
